Vaccine Network for Disease Control Celebrates Children’s Day in Style

Chika Offor · May 28, 2020

Children’s Day is a day set aside to create awareness on the problems children are facing, how to solve those problems, and improve the general wellbeing children. Despite the outbreak of Covid-19, this year’s Children’s Day was no exception. Prior to May 27, children have been indoors observing the compulsory sit-at-home order, this meant no social gathering, and hardly any social event or outings. Vaccine Network for Disease Control set out to make the day memorable for children by bringing them together via Zoom and organized a fun quiz titled “Covid-19, The Children’s Perspective”.

The event although online was a success with lots of children tuning in to participate and meet new friends. Our Quiz Master, Mr. Ayo Adegoke did not disappoint, he carried the children along with his amazing costume.

The quiz was fun, competitive, and intriguing. Our winners won amazing prices, it was indeed a success.

The success story of the event cannot be complete without mentioning The Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA). They offered support to any child willing to start a career in the Maritime industry and pledged amazing gifts for the children that participated. The sit-at-home order can’t stop us. Vaccine Network will always go the extra mile to achieve its objective.
