Transition of Adolescent Girls from Primary to Secondary School

Young girls in secondary schools are the target. This is to curb the rate of secondary school drop-out in girls due to limited or lack of funds and to discorage early marraige, unwanted pregnancies.

School Enrolment, Re-enrolment and Retention

To curb the rate of secondary school drop-out in girls due to limited or lack of funds. 75 adolescent girls were supported into secondary school from primary school in the FCT, 227 girls in Iddo and Gosa Junior Secondary schools, Abuja, were also retained.

Vocational Training and Skill Acquisition Program

In 2019, VNDC identified over 600 Out –of- school adolescent girls and young women, who were sensitized on the importance of acquiring skill and engaging in lucrative economic activities.
