Life Skills and Empowerment Intervention for Adolescent Girls and Young Women
Vaccine Network for Disease Control identified over 400 Out -of- school adolescent girls and young women in 10 communities of Federal Capital Territory, and five communities of Delta state, who will be sensitized on the importance of acquiring skills and engaging in lucrative economic activities: They will be empowered, through the establishment of young girls and young women groups to provide peer to peer support. Strengthen community-level adolescent programs to educate adolescent girls and boys, and mobilize communities for change to keep adolescent free and safe from violence. Establish young people social and financial savings group, provide financial management skills for these adolescent girls and young women using simple technology. Finally, they will be supported with start-up kits/funds.
